William Byrne grew up in a vibrant musical and theatrical family, performing all his life. He launched his professional career singing in show bands on the Irish circuit before making a splash in the West End revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar, captivating audiences as Jesus of Nazareth in over 600 performances across Britain, Ireland, and Europe. His impressive career spans starring roles in numerous other musicals and plays.

Beyond his work with Andrew Lloyd Webber, William has collaborated with Boyzone, Bryn Terfel, Michael Bolton, Don Black, Alan Bergman, and Steven Sater. He has performed with Ireland’s National Concert and Symphony Orchestras, sung for two Presidents, and appeared at Eurovision.

In recent years, he has embraced jazz, performing at the Sligo Jazz Festival, Pizza Express Soho, and Ronnie Scott’s, alongside artists like Liane Carroll. His collaboration with Golden Globe-nominated cousin Brian Byrne has taken him to Feinstein’s in LA and San Francisco.

A 12-year favorite at Brick Lane Music Hall, William also records extensively, including Goldenhair and Ghosts Above the Canyon. His TV credits include co-hosting Casino Casino with Martin Kemp and over 60 hours of live TV presenting, showcasing his engaging versatility and charisma.
