Guitar Virtuoso: Mark's Journey with Legends and Iconic Shows.

As a guitarist, Mark’s varied touring and recording credits include collaborations with Sarah Brightman, Paul McCartney, will.i.am, Slash, BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing: The Professionals, and the entertainers’ glam rock show Get It On.

Mark is also the driving force behind The Straits Show. A lifelong fan of Mark Knopfler, Mark is renowned globally for his uncanny musical and vocal impression of one of the greatest and most successful musicians of the 20th century.

In addition to his tribute work, Mark created Mark M Thompson’s Guitar Heroes, a celebration of his other musical influences. Featuring songs from legendary acts such as Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Pink Floyd, Santana, and Glen Campbell, the show is a feel-good blast from start to finish.

His talent has caught the attention of industry legends, with Brian May once quipping, “You have an incredibly interesting voice,” and A&R legend Tom Zutaut calling him “one of the UK music scene’s best-kept secret weapons.” It remains to be seen if either of these were meant as compliments.
