Adam James was born into a musical family and began playing piano at the age of six. He passed GCSE Music two years early attaining the highest grade possible (A Star), before going on to King Edward VI College and finally the University of Birmingham where he read Music and came out with an honours Degree in 2008.
Adam has been no stranger to the spotlight, ever since his first professional appearance as a vocalist on the local cabaret scene in the Midlands in 2003. He worked the ‘circuits’ in the UK for six years playing clubs, restaurants and hotels on a weekly basis amassing over three hundred performances in five years, despite being in full-time education at the same time.
After he graduated, Adam wanted to travel, yet at the same time do what he’s always loved doing – making music and entertaining. Cruise ships seemed like the perfect way to do this as a piano/vocalist and at the end of 2008, Adam got his first job on the M/V Seabourn Legend. Following this was a run on M/V Thomson Spirit and then in the summer of 2009, Adam was resident Piano Entertainer aboard the M/V Norwegian Jade.
Despite being such a young age (barely twenty-three), Adam has a huge repertoire of over four-hundred songs from all eras and styles at his disposal suitable for any audience. Also, in spite of his age, Adam is a very seasoned performer and has the ability to hold the audience in the palm of his hand.
He looks forward to his other future contracts on cruise ships.
